About Me (Emma Crimm) | May 23, 2012

There are many places one can afford when on a tighter budget.  As a college student, I tend to spend most of my money on delicious food, and recently, I have found a way to have amazing meals for less when I go out to eat.  Many times, those who want to spend under the double dollar sign miss out on half the food available.  Don’t skim over the “fancier” looking restaurants when finding a place to eat: most likely, there are plenty of dishes that you can afford, even if they are considered the “small plates” or the “bites” rather than the entrees.  Don’t be embarrassed ordering only smaller plates and appetizers: the waiter may judge you based on the demographic categories you may “fit into”—as most everyone does on a daily basis due to social constructions—but the waiter is getting your service, and for all he or she knows, you are going there to snack because you’re not that hungry.
